A high gloss door is a mirror with a color behind it, and that is both the appeal and the thing to think through. The CNC Cabinetry Milano White M14 is an MDF slab wrapped in high gloss thermofoil, with no frame, no center stile and no profile to interrupt the reflection. HM Cabinetry keeps the Milano White M14 door at the East Brunswick showroom, where you can see what it does with the lighting around it.

MDF is the right core for a gloss slab because it has no grain to telegraph through a reflective surface. The CNC Cabinetry Milano White M14 wraps that core in thermofoil as one continuous face, so there is no joint line across the door and no edge for a cloth to catch on. The box behind it is frameless and built on glued and clamped wood dowels.

Gloss white does one specific job in a small or dark kitchen, which is to pass light along instead of stopping it. The doors pick up the window and the under cabinet strips and carry them down the run, so a galley reads wider than it measures. HM Cabinetry puts Milano White M14 into condo kitchens and the smaller Middlesex and Monmouth county layouts, where the room has a single window and the counter run is short.
What a mirror finish reflects is the rest of the room, so the room has to be ready for it. A cluttered counter doubles, and so does a ceiling fixture hanging at the wrong angle, both of which are worth planning before the order rather than after. Handles matter too, since a long bar pull breaks the reflection and gives the eye somewhere to land, while a push to open run keeps the surface unbroken. The box is frameless with dowel joinery, full depth adjustable plywood shelves and double wall metal drawers with wood bottoms. Our team draws the kitchen in 3D, lighting positions included.
Gloss shows a wipe mark more than it shows a fingerprint, so the cloth matters more than the cleaner does. HM Cabinetry hands over a microfiber and the care sheet with every Milano White M14 kitchen, sets the six way hinges after the first heating season, and orders replacement doors from the same run so the gloss level matches.
