HM Cabinetry carries Golden Delight Series Cabinets NJ at our East Brunswick showroom, with ten finishes on the wall at full door size. The series comes from GoldenHome, a cabinet maker founded in 1999 that supplies the Northeast from a warehouse here in New Jersey. Delight is the range where you choose by surface rather than by door shape: matt, gloss, and UV coated fronts in the same colours, plus two shaker doors for anyone who wants a frame.
Same colour, three different rooms. Glossy White bounces light around a north facing kitchen and makes a narrow galley feel wider, but it mirrors everything in front of it, including a wall that is not flat. Matte White absorbs light instead, sits calmer, and hides small surface faults, though it will not brighten a dark room on its own. The UV finishes, Ebony and Teak, sit between the two with a harder surface and a deeper colour. Before choosing, look at where your windows are. Gloss facing a window is bright; gloss facing a blank wall just reflects the wall.
The two shaker doors are the odd ones out here. White Shaker and Gray Shaker are the only fronts in the range with a frame and a recessed panel, which makes them the bridge if half your house is traditional and the kitchen is not. Everything else in Delight is a flat front, so handles carry the whole look. We keep all ten on the wall so you can hold gloss and matt against each other in the same light.

Every swatch below is on the showroom wall at full door size — this is a guide, not a substitute for seeing the finish in person.
Gloss earns its place in one situation above all others: a small or dark kitchen where the doors face a window. The reflection doubles whatever light you have, and a galley that felt like a corridor starts to feel like a room. In a bright kitchen with wide openings, that effect is wasted and you are left with the maintenance.
The maintenance is real but overstated. Gloss shows fingerprints on the handle area and smears near the sink, and both wipe off in seconds. What it does not forgive is a wall that is out of true, because the reflection bends along it and the eye reads the bend instantly. If your walls are old plaster, that is worth knowing before you order rather than after.
Matt is the opposite trade. It hides fingerprints, hides wall faults, and photographs beautifully, but it will not make a dark room brighter. Matte Black in particular looks superb on an island and oppressive on every wall of a twelve by ten kitchen, which is why most of the ones we plan end up two tone.
The UV finishes are worth a look if you want dark colour with a harder wearing surface. Ebony UV and Teak UV hold depth without the mirror effect of full gloss, and they sit more comfortably in a room that already has a lot going on. Bring samples of your counter and floor and we will narrow it down in one visit.
