Greystone is the darker of the two Matrix grays, and a dark slab is where surface texture stops being a detail. The CNC Cabinetry Matrix Greystone M19 presses a deep grain into a low pressure laminate flat panel, so a door with no profile still gives the light something to sit in. HM Cabinetry keeps the Matrix Greystone M19 door at the East Brunswick showroom, standing next to the silver for comparison.

A smooth dark slab reads as a painted wall, and that is the problem the texture on this door solves. The CNC Cabinetry Matrix Greystone M19 carries a pressed grain across the full face, deep enough to break up a reflection and shallow enough to wipe clean in a single pass. Behind the door is a frameless box built on glued and clamped wood dowels.

• Heavy duty concealed steel hinges, six way adjustable with soft close
• 3/4 inch double wall metal drawer with a wood bottom and soft close

Greystone takes a slab kitchen in the opposite direction from gloss. Where a reflective door throws the room back at you, this one takes light in and holds its own color, which keeps a contemporary run from looking like a wall of appliance panels. HM Cabinetry uses Matrix Greystone M19 on full height cabinets in Middlesex and Monmouth county kitchens, where a continuous dark face with no frame lines turns the wall into a single plane.
Handles decide how a dark slab reads, because there is no profile doing that job for you. A long horizontal pull runs with the texture and stretches the cabinet visually, while a short knob leaves the face as one block and lets the grain carry the room. Edge pulls and push to open keep it cleaner still. The box is frameless, joined with wood dowels glued and clamped rather than stapled, braced across the back with three quarter by four inch rails, with full depth adjustable plywood shelves and double wall metal drawers underneath. Our team draws the run in 3D so the tall cabinets and the appliance panels land on one face.
Dark textured laminate is the least demanding finish in the CNC range. Fingerprints sit on top of a gloss door and vanish into this one, and ordinary marks come off with water. HM Cabinetry sets the six way hinges on the Matrix Greystone M19 after the first heating season and orders replacements from the same batch so the texture runs in the same direction.
